As you don't give any hint on age/birth year it's a bit like the needle...

BUT: There aren'r many Findsdaughters in norway in 1865 - and combined with versions of Rangdi it's even fewer. But one of them seems to fit very well:(?)

Could this be her? The husband's name is like in NZ - and I've never heard of any norwegian called Parson? Are the children correct too?

Hi,
yes, this must be the same family as listed on the Passenger list for Høvding 1873.

ISBN: 1-86950-370-8 (h.)

I have extracted the family tree info from the above book, "Johanna's World" by Ø.M. Andresen. It can be found here:

I am Great grandson ot Torkel Olsen and Kristofer Finsen of Hovding and I think Torkel married Andrea Eriksen daughter of Ole Eriksen so I think he also is great grandfather. I knew Hans Finsen son of Kristofer who was Rangdi's brother. I know a little of the Norsewood scene from my father born there 1900

Derek,

Have comprehensive family tree for Ole Eriksen and Anne Sorensdatter - parents of Andrea Ericksen (Olsen), Torkils wife.
All referenced.

I am also interested in the Findsen family as Christopher was my great great grandfather. May be able to help with someone else's research? I am particularly keen on finding out what happened to Berte Marie Findsen listed in the passenger list, and also want to find out what did happen to Kari Sorensen Findsen as I have now heard at least two different stories.
