I am wondering if any one else has the same experience that I do when using this site to post information in response to a posted question.

When I post in response to some of the queries the system seems to behave normally and I immediately see the page with "New Response Posted Thank You"

On other queries I get

"500 - Internal server error.
There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed."

That leads me to believe that my comment has not been posted. But if I close the browser. Open a new window and look at the All Forums page and then click onto the query I posted the commit to I see that my post is actually there.

I am wondering if any one else experiences the same phenomena.

I do get these "false alarms" that you describe. Probably most of the times I post, but I haven't kept statistics.

I get this error message as well, most of the time. But back in an edit, I didn't get it when I posted this response.

So I posted "Test Post" in both " emigrant from norway" and in *Johan’s genealogical study #2*. The post to "emigrate from norway" worked as one would expect. The "Test Post" to *Johan’s genealogical study #2* gave the Error Message.

Why don't you two try the same test and see if you get the same results.

Same thing as the initial post happened to me.

I did the test post, and again the same thing happened as what you mentioned in your last post.

So Dylan, you get the same issues. I just tried one of your posts and got normal behavior no Error Message. So the only time I see the error message is with messages originally posted by johanAronsen63. I wonder why that is?

By the way Dylan I see you posted some search information over on DA User Forum. Good to see you there and thanks for the shout out in the one post.

Yeah, but I think I remember that it had happened in one of my threads. It didn't always happen, but sometimes. Still odd that it happens in the same places for us both.

Yeah, I was trying my luck in the DA forum but can't say that they were as helpful as Jackie, but that might also be because Jackie is much more familiar with Norderhov.

Very few researchers are as good and thorough as Jackie.

Well it is true, but my original question was why does it happen on only a few posts. I find it a bit annoying but it really does not interfere with posting. So it is not a major impediment. It also does not seem to be related to the country of origin. Perhaps it is related to something unique about the original posters computer.
