The inscription in the diary is something I have mentioned other places, but not here... I looked through this topic and other topics elsewhere about Anna.. I guess I did not think it was relevant, when I found her emigrated as a widow.
That goes to show that I should be better to tell about information.
I do think that I now have posted all I know as of this date.
I do not know if it is still relevant, seeing as she is seemingly travelleing alone. But there are men who state that they are married, but is not connected to any familygroup.
I do not know the identity of the man who "followed" Anna to Kristiania. But I think she lived either in Fredrikstad or Borge at the time she moved.
The gentleman may have come from almost anywhere, seeing as Fredrikstad lies by the sea, and has always had a trade and commerce with other parts of Norway. In addition it has a military base, but I do not know the extent of this at this time.

Here is the original manifest for Hans Johansen Rosholt, arriving on the ship Germanic, sailing from Liverpool.
Looks like he's going to his brother Eilert Johanson in Idaho...

Thank you for your information, Jan Peter. I guess it still could be him, even if he at that time is travelling for Idaho..
Does anybody know if there is a reason why it is so difficult to find people who immigrated to the US in 1909?

Update on the Anna Gulette "story":
I have just found that Annas husband was Hans Oskar Myhre. He died in Denmark, at a sanatorium. He died June 11th 1927, and was said to be 54 years old.
He was to have a son, called "Anker Myhre".
Anker Myhres last known adress ( before June 11th 1927) was to be: 515 L. B. Chester P. A. USA I guess.. The previous found Hans and Anna.. must be the right family!
I wonder if someone could scan the cenus for 1910?
And could anybody find either Anker or Hans and Anna in the censuses 1910/1920?
I do not know when Anna and Hans went back to Norway. I guess they went back, and Anker had found a new family, a occupation, or he is living with his birth-mother?
I searched Ancstry.com ( I do not have acces) and found an Anker Myhre in Pennsylvania.. Could, "P. A. " stand for Pennsylvania? He was the supposed to be born in 1901, and was living in Delaware, Penns. ( I could not see the houshold). I can "feel" that I am close... to find the clues here..
But I need some more help. Berta |

It would be interesting to know how the name went from Rosholt to Myhre. I don't have access to a 1930 census index. Maybe someone else can find Anker or Anne there. Carla |

Hello Carla! Thank you for your "lookup"!
No wonder why I have not found Hans Myhre emigrated from Norway, as he is originally Swedish..
I am also wondering how the "namechange has happened.
Hans died in Denmark, and Anna was in Norway in 1927. I do not know if she went back to America.
Does it say what Hans and Anker is working with? And does Anna work?
Are there more people in the household?
All this is very interesting!
And I hope that someone can find them (or just Anker) in the 1930 cenus
Thank you, once again Carla!
Sincerely, Berta |

I just have to tell you all good people that has come with helpful hints:
I have found the immigrationrecord for Anna Gulette!!!
She arrives in Boston with the Saxonia from Liverpool om March 18th 1909.
This is who she has listed as the one she is going to: Uncle Adolf Abrahamsen 488 ?? Brooklyn N.Y
( I cannot correctly read the street adress, but she is listed on the Saxonia March18th arriving in Boston from Liverpool)
So.. Now the search must go for who this Adolf is, because this is a name I do not recognize.
But it is Anna.
Her nearest realtive is Grethe Solli in Borge, Norway. So this has to be her!
Thank you everybody!!
