Can this forum translate this for me. The Norwegian-English dictionaries have not been able to identify many of these words. They are from a tombsone of my cousin Peder Hanson born January 11, 1831and died January 19, 1901. He came from Froen, Oppland in 1855. The words are:

Hans strid er endt,
han freden fandt
som kampens maal
han seier vandt.

The tombstone is very hard to read, so there could be some letters wrong.

Hello Lester,

Greetings from Stavanger, Rogaland

The translation of the text

His fight (battle) has ended (has come to an end),
he found peace
in reaching the goal of struggle
he was victorious (he won victory)
