You'll find Alex Hadland family in Chicago in the 1920 US census. ILLINOIS > COOK > 27-WD CHICAGO US National Archives Microfilm Series: T625 Roll: 340 Page: 277 'Alex' born about 1859 in Norway, immigrated 1886? 'Gerty' born about 1866 in Norway.
1910 - ILLINOIS > COOK > 16-WD CHICAGO US National Archives Microfilm Series: T624 Roll: 259 Page: 202 'Aleck' born about 1859 in Norway, immigrated 1880? Wife 'Gertrude' born about 1867 in Norway, immigrated 1884, married for 22 years. 29 year old son (Carl) also born in Norway, other children born Illinois
On Rootsweb WorldConnect databases most of the 'Hadland' families with Norwegian roots appear to be listed as from Egersund area (or nearby) of Rogaland, Norway.

It is not generally recommended to post information about LIVING individuals on the Internet while you work on a family history project. Please be careful. http://www.cyndislist.com/internet.htm#Privacy

I heartily agree with Hopkins comments. I strongly recommend you take edit your posting to delete references to living people. This is a very serious problem on the Internet, people posting family trees and information on living people (and most of the time without their permission).
Also, what exactly is your question, all you did is post mostly information on living people. You do not need to give information on living people to research ancestors.
Recommend you read the Posting Guidelines, ie: give all the information you have and state exactly what it is you want to know. |

In some ways yes. All the information possible about persons now deceased - especially those who lived in Norway - is strongly recommended.
You can go back and edit your own postings here if you are logged in and click on the little icon showing a piece of paper with a pencil just along the top of any posting that you want to edit. |

The most likely Gertie Nelson Hadland can be found by several adjustments Gertie is most likely Grete, Nelson is most likely Nielsdatter, Hadland is most likely Helland and the year of birth 1859 - if so, see #91 Grete Serines father was Niels Andreas Nielsen at the Helland farm and the mother was Karen Bjørnsdatter. If you search for Gertie in the LDS records you will see that Gerte Serine Nilsdtr. married 1879 #14 and that she died in America. |

Kristoffer and Grete Serine and their two children Halvard Fabritius and Inger emm. in 1882 #4&5 Christopher #28 probably died in America since Gertie had been married to Aleck since 1888. |
