Hi, could anyone tell me when the parents of Eric Serveraid came to the U S. He was born about 30 miles north of where I used to live. |

Tricky!
And where did you use to live?? Wanamingo, Goodhue, Minnesota? Or Elmore, Faribault?
I would guess his father are from Fuse or Skånevik in Hordaland, but this is not much info to go on...

The parents of Eric Sevareid were both born in the United States. |

As Hopkins stated, the parents were born in the United States. A article that I found on the internet states Eric's parents were Alfred and Clare (Hougen) Sevareid. I thought I would throw the mother's maiden name in just in case that helps researching the family in Norway. |

Alfred Erickson Sevareid is born ca 1883, probably in Wanamingo, Goodhue, Minnesota. His wife Clara is born 23 Apr 1885, probably in Edina, Hennepin, Minnesota
Could Erick Erickson Sevareid & Carolina Krokström be Alfreds' parents?
I'm quite positive Erick Erickson Sevareid is from Hordaland (possibly Fuse or Skånevik), and thus emigrated through the port of Bergen...

The Sevareid family has already researched their family history. Why any need to repeat that here? |

What kind of answer is that? Do you think Wally would have put up this request if she had Eric's familytree? |

The poster of the original question is NOT a member of the Sevareid family. They have not published their family tree online and I think they deserve privacy if they so choose.
