I would appreciate any info you can find on my great-grandparents Samson and Synneve Offerdahl, both born about 1862. Children Oagaat born 1896 and Jennie born 1892. Interested in where they were born and their parents names. Also year immigrated. Thank you in advance.

Well the names fit well. The 1920 and 1930 list immigration dates as 1888 and 1890. Oagaat is listed as having been born in Norway. Jennie in Minnesota.

Good one Jackie. Here is likely his arrival in the US, I think in the original manifest his age is better listed as 27. Destination is listed as New York so not much help. And travelling alone.

Synneva Hansdatter was born out of wedlock Aug 16 1860, #100.
Her mother was Ingeborg Rasmusdatter, Fjæren. The father Hans Halvorsen was from Lærdal.

Ingeborg Rasmusdatter, her daughters, parents and siblings in 1865.

Marie Aamundsdatter was born out of wedlock April 21 1864, #2.
