Looking for help finding a birth record for Maren : https://www.digitalarkivet.no/kb20051111040334
Bride in record 42. Looked through Norderhov parish record 1845 - 1849 couldn't find a Maren to an Ole Nilsen. Must have missed something.

Maren's confirmation in 1862: #32

And here is the baptism. Middle of the page; born July 31, 1847 and baptised October 10, 1847.

Parents married 1845: https://www.digitalarkivet.no/view/327/pv00000010012487

Sorry - I erred in the original information - it is record 41 on the page not 42. My stumbling block on your information is that the marriage record cites Maren's father as Ole Nilsen, I believe and not Ole Gulbrandsen.

But my mistake all the same. I saw the best man Gulbrand Olsen in the marriage record and (perhaps) somehow conjured that into a father's name Ole Gulbrandsen.

In theory, I would expect Maren and her father to be on Alme or Myre in 1865. However, I did not find her, so I started looking for a confirmation record.

Searching from 1873 back to 1858, the record ToreL pointed out made sense to me as well. I think either the father is wrong, or the birthplace. I think it is probably the birthplace.

I remember having a similar issue with my 4th great-grandfather, who was located on Alme Ejet in 1837 but happened to be born on the Farm Tranby in Lunder (15 miles from each other). That was quite the distance, and it took ToreL, Jackie, and I quite long to rule out other Even Olsen's, but eventually, it turned out that it was indeed my 4th great-grandfather.

Perhaps, there is a Maren Olsdatter and Ole Nilsen from somewhere not too far, which fits the description. I also don't see an Ole Nilsen at Alme Eie or Myhre/Myre in 1865, so I think they are perhaps from elsewhere.

The challenge of course is, how do you prove in the end that Maren Olsdatter is truly yours? Well, I only was able to by a DNA test for Even, making a connection with someone after a long search.

Ringerike was a "traditional" district that included Hole and Norderhov.
