I have been trying to find a birth record for Edvard Andersen. He was supposedly born March 8th 1844 in Ore / Tingvoll. His parents would have been Anders Ellefsen and Aase Thoresdatter. I have looked at church records and nothing. Supposedly him and brother Gabriel went to Kristiansund to live and were sailors. I can't find anything about those two in Kristiansund.

I'm thinking they might be the link to Edvard Olufsen's dad Oluf Jonsen.

Any help would be appreciated. Info for Edvard Andersen was found on family search.

The same pair had the daughter Guriane for baptism two years earlier:

https://www.digitalarkivet.no/view/255/pd00000014521096

In 1842, the mother was Aase Thoresdtr fra Østerdalen, while in 1844 she was Aase Thoresdtr Hornseth af Rendalen. Rendalen is part of Østerdalen.

There is a remark at the 1842 baptism that this is Begges 3die Leiermaal med hverandre; the pair's third child together out of wedlock.

Here is one of them. There is a note that they are omvandrende personer der en tid haver opholdt sig i Skjøren; travellers who have been staying in Skjøren for a while.

Morning Torel, Thank you for information. Now that I know Edvard 1844 does exist. I would imagine that is why my great, great grandmother Guri Anna named my great grand father Edvard Olufsen.

Anders Ellefsen had 5 children with Ragnhild from Vaga Oppland and left her. Met Aase and they had 4 children, 2 boys born in Orland Sor Trondelag. Gabriel and Gottfried Alexander. Then in Tingvoll Guri Anna and Edvard.

Aase Thoresdatter died in 1852 and it did say Hornseth. Anders moved on and became Anders Ellefsen Rodal and married Mari Larsdatter Rodal in Fraena and I believe they had 4 children. This were he died in 1871.

It was easy to track Gottfried, he moved to Molde married was a sailor and became a widower in 1879 then went to ALesund in 1880 and remarried and lived out his life.

I can't find one thing about Gabriel and Edvard. Now with your help I do have both births.

In 1865 Guri Anna gave birth to Mariane unwed. It said after her name Reiten, Christiansund and Furset. Does that mean Guri Anna had lived in all those places ?

Ministerialprotokoller, klokkerbøker og fødselsregistre - Møre og Romsdal, SAT/A-1454/584/L0965: Parish register (official) no. 584A05, 1857-1868, p. 94

This is Edvard's confirmation. It says Edvard Doneim ( I'm not sure what that addition to Edvard would mean) also is Helten where he lived ?

Helten is written in the column for place of birth. Edvard Døneim would usually indicate a person named Edvard living on a farm named Døneim.
