| In 1866 the ship Fædrenelandet departed from Christiania on April 10th and arrived at Quebec on May 18th. She was sailing with a load of coal, and was carrying 50 steerage passengers and 2 cabin passengers. There was one death on the voyage, Nicolai Hansen age 34, jumped overboard during an attack of delirium tremens. The Fædrenelandet was mastered by Capt. Hielm and had a crew of 21. The passenger list was archived by the National Archives of Canada [NAC].
