The Førdefjord (2) (ex. Emma Maersk) was built in 1924 by A.P. Møller in Odense. Her details were: Tonnage: 5,242 tons gross, 4,858 under deck and 3,269 net. Forecastle 33 feet long. Propulsion: 4 stroke, single acting oil engine with 12 cylinders of 19 11/16 inches diameter each; stroke 35 7/16 inches; 450 nominal horsepower; engine built by Burmeister & Wain in Copenhagen. She was a steel construction with twin screws, 3 masts and 1 deck. Shelter deck and oil engine. She was fitted with electric light and wireless. Water ballast and flat keel.
