In 1870 the bark Gazelle departed from Bergen May 11, and arrived at Quebec June 23. She was sailing in ballast, and was carrying 308 steerage passengers and 3 cabin passengers. There was an outbreak of measles onboard. When the ship arrived at the quarantine station on Gross Īle, sixty five were sick and the passengers were landed. There were two births on the voyage, and one death. On this voyage the Gazelle was mastered by Capt. K. Warnęss, and had a crew of 17. Her tonnage was 286½ Norwegian Commercial lasts.
