The "Hilda" was a steamer owned by Ytterøen Mining Co.
Together with an other chartered ship, she maintained the first regular route
between Trondheim and England. The main activity of the ship was to take
pyrites from the mines at Ytterøy to Newcastle, but she did also carry
passengers who were proceeding from England to America on other steamships belonging to the great transatlantic lines.
