The second NAL ship by the name of Kristianiafjord was constructed in 1920 by Napier & Miller Ltd. in Glasgow. Her tonnage was 6 759 tons gross, 4 851 under deck and 4 149 net. The house on deck 258 tons. She was constructed in steel and had twin screws. She had 3 decks. Kristianiafjord was fitted for oil fuel, equipped with electric light and wireless. She was also equipped with direction finder. Water ballast. Propulsion: 3 steam turbines, double reduction geared to screw shafts. The engine was built by Cammell Laird & Co. Ltd. in Birkenhead.
