The Majestic (2) was laid down in 1913 as the
Bismarck for the Hamburg America Line. She was completed in 1921 by Blohm & Voss in Hamburg. In 1922 she was purchased by White Star and renamed Majestic. She had a tonnage of 56,551 tons gross, 38,033 under deck and 26,324 net. She had 6 decks and shelter deck and a semi-cruiser stern. She was fitted with electric light, wireless and submarine signalling device. Water ballast. Propulsion: 8 steam turbines; engine by Blohm & Voss. She had quadruple screws.
