The "Peter Jebsen" (Norske Lloyd) was built in 1872 by Backhouse & Dixon, Middlesborough
(engines by Maudslay, Sons & Field, London). She was an iron construction with straight stem, one funnel, two
masts, a single screw and a speed of 10 knots.
