I believe Maren Rebekka Johansdatter Brenne b1862, Skogn, married my great great grandfather, Gustav Sunde in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1890. Gustav arrived in Minnesota from Trondheim in 1882, age 20. But I haven't found when she did. She died in Minnesota in 1897. I'd like to find out when and what ship she sailed on to America.

Maren Olava Hansdatter/Hansen Nygaard, b.1858, emigrated to Michigan in 1881 and married Magnus Jensen in 1883. He died in Michigan in 1886 and she and their daughter, Jessie, moved to Minnesota afterwards. In 1889, this Maren married my great great grandfather, Carl Hertzenberg, in Minneapolis. I'd like to find out what ship she sailed on and when/where she arrived in 1881.

Thank you so much! Shari

S Howell

Here are a couple of candidates for Maren Olava Hansdatter. Not exactly 1881 voyage and not Michigan?

Probably not good candidate since Røken is a town in Asker, Akeershus.

Another passenger family left on May 14. Petrine Hans* on the same ship Kong Bjørn. Probably a feeder ship to England.

Interesting the Kong Bjørn went in 1881 from Oslo to Hamburg Germany?
