Looking for information on L. Rigelsen, Skipper of the "Broderlandet" in 1885.

http://www-ib.hive.no/tekster/skillingsviser/broderlandet/om.html

to confirm if he is - Ludwig Ferdinand RIGELSEN;

Also info on Oscar Severin RIGELSEN, B 1860, probably anordinary sailor, left the service in about 1888-9 and resided and married in ADELAIDE SA, Australia in December 1889.

Has some association with EIDESVOLL / EIDSVOLD

Thanks

Hi,
fyi, the title "skibsfører" means Captain or Skipper...
I found this person in the 1900-census, click here
He is a widower, and his title says "former Skipper, now sailmaker at the navy yard".
In census-1875, Richard Albert (sailor) is a foster-child at a family in Oslo (Kristiania), click here
