On the Digitalarkivet passenger lists there is
Berte
Fredrikke
Arne Ols. Strandengen
and Olaf
Ols. Strandengen
I found Olaf on the Ellis Island database. To find him Click Here and enter Olaf Olsen year 1905 and age 21 and you should get a link to his record. You will need to register on the Ellis Island site in order to veiw the record

Here is Edvard on the Digitalarkivet Click Here
If you are looking for passenger arrival records for the ones who left before 1892 You would have to rent the microfilms from either the LDS or the NARA . There are links to those sites under the links to external resources below

I did find Olaf, did know of the strandengen home; I will call Illinois Ref; the marriage of Berte, Sure wish we knew if Ill. or Indiana;
I have an Aunt Olga 91 years is why we are trying so hard to find info on Berte before she dies, We knew she was in San Jose, Calif. but can not find no death records or anything on Niedermaier which we knew was a married name when she died; That is why I'm trying to go back and find when she came in and how she might have got to Calif. I'm going to try census in 1930 when I can get to a Library that handles them.
I'mgetting into the cite ok now, Could not findFredrikka in Forum search, Olaf I can skip for now. My records show no brother by Kristian. Hate to bother you with this, where do you live if I may ask. I'm in Idaho. We will be of the air till next Spring as we go down south for the winter. Have one more week here.Will try that long Add. next. Thanks for now

Found her death record at least I'm pretty sure it is her.

I copied in all of the Niedermaier's that might be related. Here is a link to the site Click Here I found her under the 1940-2000 index.. Does father's last name Enger fit in?? Also found a marriage announcement Click Here Looks like she married in 1897.
I live in California, not too far from San Jose. I'll see if I find any Niedermaier's in the phone book.

I think that Berte Ols. travelled across the S/S Adriatic of the White Star Line from Liverpool and arrived to New York 1886-07-03. This is according to our database of corresponding ships with the S/S Angelojourney 1886-06-18 from Christiania to Hull via Christiansand. The S/S Adriatic connection is confirmed by the contemporary Norwegian Newspapers. The link to White Star is established through the information about the agents name at Digitalarkivet, which lists the name as Elster.
