Here he is on the Digitalarkivet Emigrants from Oslo Click Here with wife Eli and daughter Marie. His residence is Sunds. (Hordland)
This is most likely him in the 1865 census Click Here I think the Torland in the emigrant list is probably an error and should be Forland since that is the farm he lives on in the 1865 census.

Hi,
here is the christening of their daughter Benthe Marie: click here
She is born on JUL-17-1871, and christened on SEP-24-1871. Thomas is a farmer ("gmd"), and they live on the farm Forland.
The place Sund is just outside the city of Bergen on Norwegian west coast.

I see all those names on my family tree. Except Eli is written as Eli Jansdtr Driveness. She was born 1842 and Thomas was born 1844. Are they the same ones.My great grandfather was Edvard (edward) who married Laura Jese Ellis and had 3 children Doris, Edward and Edna (my grandmother). They all lived in Auckland when I knew them.
