Try the english version of digitalarkivet. Put the name in the farm name column of one of the national censuses (1865 or 1900), and see if you get any hits (start with the first few letters of the name and try several spelling variations).
There also is a site called norwegian farm names (link at the Digitalarkivet site) but i think it is in norwegian only.
