--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

According to a family diary, my great grandfather Thomas Mathew Power arrived in Valparaiso Chile, aboard the "Panama" on November 11, 1866. A few days later, The Panama, with Thomas on board, departed Valparaiso. We assume the ship was bound for San Franciso or New York.
Any suggestions on how to find the passenger list for that trip? Any additional information about Thomas Mathew?
A summary of my research is at: http://powertree.tripod.com/index.html

Any help would be immensely appreciated.
