Hello all... I am new here and I am looking for information on how to find the background of my grandfather, Frank Fredriksen. He came to the US in 1921 and lived in Kristiania before he left. Can anyone help me find out any history of my family, the Fredriksen family? Thank you in advance.

Hi Here is a possibility for your Frank emigrating from Oslo in 1921. Click Here born June 9 1900. He is from Horten, Vestfold, Norway. On Ellis Island he appears to be a member of the crew on the Bergensfjord. He is going to his brother Waldemar Fredriksen in Brooklyn NY.
If this is him then this is a good possibility for him in the 1900 census in Borre Vestfold, parents Manuel Afrid Valdemar Fredriksen and Ana Matede Aandbye. Although his birthdate here is Feb 15 1900 I find it hard to believe that there are 2 Frank Roll Fredriksens born in 1900 but anything is possible. Mistakes are made so you need to take information with "a grain of salt" Click Here
If the age is correct and you think this is him, you can probably find his parents in the 1865 census.
