I am looking for information on Harald Hoem who, the story goes, was a seaman who came to the US in the early 1900's and stayed. (Could he have jumped ship?) It is believed that he was the only one of his family who emigrated. He supposedly was born in the Lofloten Islands in the 1880's. I am new at Norwegian genealogy. Can anyone direct me to where I might start?
Thanks

Sandy

I cannot help you in Norway, but do you have everything about him in the USA? Have you checked the census? I would be happy to look him up for you. (I have online access)
