My great grand Parents came to New Zealand on the Hovding in 1872, Anton and Oulli Nilsen, they had a daughter Mathilde, there is some confusion over Oulli's name as on some papers it is Oline, I think her surname was Petersen or Pedersen. They left from Kristiania but may have come from Ulsaker. They had a large family after they arrived here,

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Here is a possibility for their marriage record on the LDS. The ages are a pretty close match. Anton's father is listed as Niels AMMUNDSEN. Click Here

I'll try this again. I tried to post my message twice and it keeps coming up with the original message. They say the 3rd time is the charm!

I don't know if there is any connection here, but I have a Benedicta Berentine Nielsen, Nils Olai Nilsen, Marie Caroline Nilsen and Nils Martin Nilsen. They are all children of Nils Nielsen Bo and Maria Brynildsdatter.

Benedicta Berentine Nielsen is the mother of my grandfather, Hans Martin Endresen.

I do not have any information as to the parents of Nils Nielsen Bo or Maria Brynildsdatter.

The information I have ,says Nils Nielsen Bo was born Jan. 21, 1832 in Bakersvenn, Torjum, Sogn Og Fjordane, Norway, and Maria Brynildsdatter was born Nov. 4, 1832 in Thuendsaaheim, Haus, Hordaland, Norway.

All the children listed were born in Bergen, Norway.

I thought there could possibly be a connection through a sibling of Nils Nielsen Bo.

This information originally came from the LDS site and has not been validated by me. I have not recently checked the site to see if anyone has posted any further information.
