Looking for information on an Annie M. Vang (Martha) from Norway. She was born Dec 1857 in Norway and married Andrew Greig in 1886 in Wisconsin. Any information is appreciated.

Thanks,

Julie

Do you have any other information? Names of parents, date of emigration? Vang is an area in Valdres, Oppland, Norway.

Hi.

I'm sorry but that is all the information I have. The 1900 Dane County Census lists them in the Town of Dunkirk, Wisconsin.

The 1900 Federal census should list the year of immigration. You really need to secure more information on this side of the pond before researching in Norway. Marriage records including the application, death certificates, church records, census records, local historical societies, county history books; these are just some of the sources of information.

Hi It is hard to read the 1900 year of emigration but she is in the 1910 census as Mrs Andrew Beig year of emigration looks like 1893 but it must be 1883 and she is in the 1920 census as Martha Greg year of emigration looks like 1894 but must be 1884 if she was married in 1886.
This is a little more info but like Jo Anne said getting more info in the US is needed. Knowing her fathers name would help a lot.

My ancestor Tobias I. Trana lived in Lodingen and in or about 1870 sold his farm to Soren Vang. Might be a conncection. Norm
