Hi. I just joined the list today. My parents immigrated to the US in July 1948 on the SS Stavangerfjord. Does anyone know where I can find a copy of the passenger list? Any information would be helpful. TIA

My grandparents visited Norway and returned on the Stavangerfjord. The ship arrived March 19, 1948 in New York.
Ted Finch (efinch@paston.co.uk) has the history of the ship. I got my copy of the passengerlist from National Archives.

Richard is right, the passenger list can be obtained from NARA.

About the history of the ship, you should go to our Norwegian America Line page, where you will find the history and pictures of the ship. In the NAL photo album we have some nice interior pictures too.
