ABRAHAMSEN, Olufine Marie. Arr. NY 1892 AUG c.22 Possible last name was Olesdtr. Arrived from Larvik, Vestfold, Norway in NY near AUG 22 1892. Don't know name of ship, but searching your ships lists, possibly S.S. Siberian or City of Paris. Her bd yr: 1850

Ack! Found her in June!! I looked around Ellis Island Records of arrivals in 1892 of Abrahamsen and found Olevine Abrahamsen b. 1850 arriving 25 JUN 1892, not August. She arrived on the Hekla out of Kristiania, Norway. Would anyone happen to have access to the original passenger records for that ship and date?

Olevine Abrahamsen, female, married, 42 years, Residence Nøterø, destination New York click here
She is travelling with what looks to be her 4 children:
- Jenny Abrahamsen, female 17y
- Fredrik Abrahamsen, male 11y
- Alvilde Abrahamsen, female 4y
- Gudrund Abrahamsen, female [prob. infant]

There is information to be found about this family online in parish books for Nøtterøy at Digitalarkivet.
Jan. 1873: sailor Fredrik August Gottsdhald Emil Olsen b 1850-09-16( father Ole Abrahamsen) married Olufine Eriksdatter Tanstad b. 1850-02-28 (father Erik Jørgensen)
Children born at Tanstad, Nøtterøy:
Jenny Marie b. 1875-10-17
Fredrik Oskar b. 1880-08-09
Alvilde Emilie b. 1888-05-30
Gudrun b. 1891-10-25 (father sailmaker Emil Abrahamsen b. 1850) |
