Re Bredsvold Fam.

You have been so helpful earlier conc.my fathers family.
I have 1 more question for you.

The last sister of this Family that went to Chicago, USA was:

Mina Bredsvold. "Hekla ", Arrival New York Sept. 6th 1898.

On her travel chest I found the label saying that she
went from New York with
Niagara Falls Short Line and West Shore R.R..
General Agents A. Mortensen & co. Via Wabash.

Can you tell me how she went to Chicago, and where is Wabash? Was this an ordinary way to go further to Chicago?

Thank you so much in advance. This is a real exciting page.

R.R. indicates railroad. There is a Wabash in the state of Indiana - to the east of Illinois and Chicago.
To travel by train would be quite common in 1898.
