Hi,
paa in this sentence should be translated to "at" or "on".

Maurits at Fintland, meaning Maurits living at/on the Fintland farm.

Modern spelling would be Maurits@Fintland...

One question though... your g-grandfather was born over 500 years ago???

Jan

NB: The county is spelled Vest-Agder.

This doesn't sound reasonable. Even if we say 40 years between each generation - and that's extremely much for such a long period - then you're born around 1865 and nearly 140 years old. I don't believe that. Either 1475 is a misprint or Mouritz is much more than your 8 times great grandfather...

Another thing is how did you get that far? Not many people do that withaout being of noble or royal family. I'd like to see that line...

And Maurits was the 13th. and i am pretty sure I started out with the right Iver because if i didn't it is all just a big goof.

How nice!

Why can't we all just click on our ancestors, to go back in time...

Because then we would all have to go see a doctor with our aching arms and shoulders in the morning
