I am looking for my grandfather, Ole Martin Neilson Staveland, who arrived in halifax with his family, in late spring or early summer of 1927 aboard the S/S Stavangerfjord. I would like help in locating a passenger list. They traveled 3rd class from Olso, Norway.
The LDS Family History Library catalog shows that they have microfilm copies of the passenger arrivals in Halifax, Nova Scotia for that time period. 15 April 1927-11 June 1927 on reel #2294213 and 11 June 1927-4 Dec 1927 on reel #2294214. (Check those numbers yourself before you order them) These are microfilm of original records in possession of the National Archives of Canada (formerly Public Archives of Canada), Ottawa, Ontario. The Canadian archives also have microfilm of these arrivals.
