My ancestor, Asle Ericksen Olbergsundet, is listed as sailing on the ASKUR in 1861. Did the list come from a Norwegian newspaper called the Morgenbladet? I can provide his family that traveled with him if desired.

Yes, the names of those passengers on the Askur in 1861 comes from a note in a Norwegian newspaper. The actual passenger list has not survived, so any information you can provide will be appreciated.
