My name is William E. Sorensen and I am looking for birth records from Oslo Norway for a " Wihelm Toralf Sorensen" William R. Sorensen he was born in 1902. He left Norway after his parents left each other and came to the U.S. to find his mother who moved to New York City years before. He used to tell me that when he was a young boy he used to play with the king of Norways son "Olav" so he must have lived near by. I can be reached at sorensen02@comcast.net U.S.A.

The emigration register for Kristiania/Oslo captures a Willy Thoralf Sørensen leaving that port in 1920. It lists his birth as 1 Feb 1903 and indicates that he was a resident of "Helgøen". He is also listed as going to join his mother and is headed for New York.
What was his mother's name? when was she born? Willy/William/Wilhelm will not appear in the 1900 Norwegian census - but his mother might....
Or do you also have information about his father?
