Hi

I cannot help you on what you are asking, but I have a couple of questions to ask, if it is okay. I think we might be related.
Was Eline Evensdatter's mother & father Even Hanssen(1847, Gausdal), and mother Sidsel Olsdatter Almsbakken?
If so, we are related, since Sidsel's father Ole Kristiansen was a brother to my great-great grandmother Agnethe Kristiansdotter (Berg øvre)
Would you mind contacting me either way if we are of the same family? I have lots of info on these branches to share.

Hello!

I might be able to get som info about your mothers uncle. Can take a while since I have to ask my grandmother (Ellen Margrethe Almsbakken 1919) who I probably wont see until the end of desember. She got her last name from my grandfather Leif Almsbakken, who died when I was a child. Im not sure if she knows much about my grandfathers reletives since they had little contact with them after they married.

Im pretty shure we are relatives (and Roy Tinis) since there are no people in norway named Almsbakken who isnt in my family (unlike "Hansen" and "Olsen" which half of norway is named)

I know there are sevral museums in norway which collect letters written by people emigrating to America. If your mothers unlce have sendt any letters to relatives in norway, theres a chance that they might have ended up there.

Hope you find out more about your uncle!
