Great Web Page!!! Thanks.
I am trying to find which ship (from Norway) my Grandfather (Herbrand Gullechson) and Ggrandfather (Gullech Herbrandson Klevan) came to America on. According to the obits it was 1854. Month and port unknown. I have come to a stone wall on all the options I have tried. Any suggestions?

Paul

The year in question is not a good year I'm afraid. As you might notice by looking at the 1853 ship index, most of the ships sailed to Quebec, and the oldest surviving passenger lists from that port is from 1865. You might find the article about "Hunting Passenger Lists" on this site useful. There you will also find a link to a timeline of related sources.
