Is there some place I can purchase the following book? Also, by chance is there an English version?

It must be the dot (.) at the end of the address, try removing that making the address: firmapost@hol-sparebank.no

The Norwegian text is a list of the content of the different volumes:
Vol I: From the eldest times till 1815
Vol II: From 1815 till the beginning of the 1900 century.
Vol III: Hol
Vol IV: Sør (South) Hovet
Vol V: Sør Hovet, Nord Hovet, Sudndalen and Strønde
Vol VI: Kvisla and Lio
Vol VII: Ustedalen and Skurdalen
Price (for each volume?): NOK 400,-

Folk og fortid i Hol, Vol VIII, by Lars and Sigurd Reinton and Magne Myhren
Register Price: NOK 100,-

Removing the dot ( . ) at the end worked.

This should help you translate the books. Except for the narratives, mostly the same basic words are used over and over.

Since this is a 1999 version, a modern Norwegian English dictionary would be advisable. Einar Haugen's version is a popular one.
