I have a painting of the Imperator. Painted on tin by Bishop in 1911. This is a very large painting with the flag of Norway and USA. A previous poster (Judithe) mentioned that the painted may have hung in the Hamburg-American ticket office. Please reply.--Barbara Clark

Maybe you could post a scan of the picture?

I also have a large painting on tin of the Imperator by Bishop. It shows the Imperator at sea alongside a much older ship that looks like a clipper. This painting is dated 1911 and also includes the words NH Conn (New Haven Connecticut). The frame has the name of the ship as well as its size etc.

Barbara, please get in touch with me at hberg1947@aol.com about the painting of the Imperator. As I said, I have one also on tin by Bishop. I would love to compare them.
