I believe my Great grandfather came in 1882 .left Christiania, on Nov. 16 and arrived New York Dec. 04 with his wife Marie and 61/2 month old daughter Karoline.
I located the following from the the Danish Immigration Databases and am confident this is indeed my family:

Yes, they were on that voyage:
Thingvalla, arrived New York December 5, 1882
#37, 38 and 39, their names were even spelled correctly.
Total number of passengers - 209
Niels listed as a farmer with a total of 2 pieces of luggage.
Destination: USA
