I found on Ditigalarkivet "Emigrants from Trondheim 1867-1930" a listing for Anna Vold. Date of registrtion 05.05.1886. Line American. Ship Hero. As I understand it, she would have traveled to Hull and from there traveled to London, Liverpool, etc. and then most likely on to Quebec.

Other than no obtaining a list of arrivals in Quebec, any other suggestions? What time frame should I look for? Two weeks from the date of registration? Or two weeks from England? How long a journey would it have been from Trondheim to Hull?

Any help in pointing me in the right direction will be greatly appreciated.

Debbie

Hello Debbie

As you found the name of the Line in the Digitalarkivet, the "American Line", it makes it much easier:

Steamship via Hull and Liverpool to Philadelphia and from there to the final destination in America.

You should expect to find them on a Philadelphia arrival approximately 3 - 4 weeks after departing from Norway
