MY GRANDMOTHERS NAME IS NELLY EIDISEN OR EIDDISSEN SHE WAS BORN IN VARDO NORWAY SEPT.19 1899 HER MOTHERS NAME IS KAROLINE ELLIENGSEN HER FATHERS NAME FRIDTJOF EIDISEN. I AM TRYING TO LOCATE ANYTHING ABOUT THESE PEOPLE. MY GRANDMOTHER LEFT NORWAY IN 1919 LIKE TO KNOW NAME OF SHIP SHE CAME OVER ON. THX

Hi On the Digitalarkivet site (there is a link on the home page) in the 1900 census for Vardø Finnmark there is a Nelly Eiddissen listed with a birthdate of March 5 1899 which could be your Nelly. She is listed as a foster child and the foster mother is Elen Eillingson. Also at this site under emigrants from Kristiana 1882-1897 1913-1919 there is a Nelly Alette Eides. birthdate Sept 19 1899 Sailed on Feb 22 1919, destination Calefornien, ship Stavangerfj. and the comment I believe says "to her mother". Did your Grandmothers parents live in America.
