My grandfather, Asmund Pedersen & his brother Gudbrand(Gilbert) came to USA 4/6/05 on the ship United States leaving from Christiania (Kristiania, Norway). Gudbrand was sponsored by Uncle Olaf Pedersen and went to Long Island, NY. My grandfather moved to Argyle, WI. I am trying to find relatives of Gudbrand in the NY area, he married and had one child named Inga, I beleive. Their parents were named Peder & Fredrika from the Oslo area.

HI If this is your Gudbrand Click Here He is already married and in the 1910 census there is one Gilbert Peterson age 32 immigrated in 1905 living as a boarder with Christian Hermekson. Gilbert is listed as married but there is no wife living with him. I couldn't find him in the 1920 census so wonder if he returned to Norway.
There are a couple of possibilities in the New York City Grooms index Click Here if he remarried in the US or the one I found isn't yours.

Hi Think I have them in the 1930 census in Bronx NY. On Ancestry.com I found Gilbert Petersen and in the same household is a Dana born 1873 and Ingeborg born 1904. I don't have a subscription so can't access the details.
In Ellis Island there is a Dina and Ingeborg Pedersen arriving March 4 1914, Dina is going to husband Gulbrand Pedersen at 293 South st?? New York !!
Here they are leaving Norway Click Here
