Aloha! We are searching for information on my grandfather Bernard (Bernhardt?) Johansen who was born 10/11/1873(approximately) in or near Oslo, Norway. Somehow he came to America, joined the American Army & ended up in Hawaii where he married my grandmother (a native Hawaiian). We are searching for any leads as well as any other relatives that came to America. His mother was Karen Poulsen(Paulsen?) and father was Johan Carlsen(Carlson?) We belive he had a sisiter named Marie also. ANY HELP WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!

Of course this information could be wrong.
When did he marry. Have you located him in any US census? Locating him in the census could give you an approximate immigration date
