looking for edvard Basso( i ), he was born in Norway in 1883 in Kjelvik, Finnmark. his mother was Katrine Eliassen and his father was lars Johannessen b. 1847. Edwards mother is mother of my oldgrandfather Oskar (Henriksen) Basso. Katrine died in 1896 in Alta. His brother Oskar and Hjalmar was raised by the catholic in Hammerfest. My mothers ant have lether from him in 1912, and som of edvards relatives has been in Hammerfest between 1965 and 1969 and look for they relatives. Is there anyone that can help me.

Does the 1900 Norwegian census have him listed as Edevart Larssen perhaps?

Where are you looking for him? Norway, U.S., Canada, Austrailia, New Zealand? If he did emigrate, when, where?

1920 US census shows an "Edward M. Basse" living in city of Tacoma, Pierce County, Washington. Listed as 30 yrs old, born in Norway, immigrated to US in 1910, became naturalized citizen in 1919 and occupation is bank clerk. He is married to a woman named Hazel (born in Minnesota) and has a son named Edward J. who is not yet 2 yrs old.
