Min morfar Frank Hansen var födt 28 september 1898 i Norge. Han emigrerte i 1919-20 tror jeg. Jeg fant ham i Population schedule in census of USA 1930 i Town of Brookline, Norfolk Massachusetts. Der står han oppfört med sin nye kone Anna M og to småbarn Florence og Hilda. Tror han reiste med Bergensfjord?
Vet noen om hvordan jeg skal finne ut noe mer om ham???

I think I will wright in english too. My grandfather Frank Hansen born in Norway 28 sept. 1898 emigrated to US in 1919-20 I think with a ship named Bergensfjord. He merried a swedish woman cald Anna M and get two girls named Florence and Hilda. I don´t know if they merried in US, but they are named on Population schedule of census 1930 in Brookline i massachusetts. I hope that someone could give me some information abouth Franks family or where I go from here to find them. I know that Frank and Anna must be dead, but perhaps Florence or Hilda or if they have children. And I would like to know where my grandfathers grave is. I am glad for all the help I can get, thank you.

Frank Hansen, 21, from Norway arrived at the Port of New York on December 18, 1919 aboard the Bergensfjord. He was part of the ship's crew. You can find the list here:

On the free Rootsweb.com Social Security Death Index, Frank Hansen, born September 28, 1898, died in January 1963. Last known residence was Massachusetts. You can order a copy of his Social Security application but this would not give the information contained in a death certificate which would state where he was buried. Brookline is in Norfolk County, here is information about ordering vital records:

You may want to consider posting an inquiry in the local Brookline newspaper.

The local library has an obituary index:
