I believe that I am a descendent of Cornelius Nilson Hersdal and would like any information that can be provided. I believe that his great granddaughter
Louis Mitchell married my great grandfather Jeramia Sample.

Hi

Did you check our "Slooper" page?

http://www.norwayheritage.com/ships/rest.htm

A lot of information has been compiled and published in the book: "The Sloopers, Their Ancestry and Posterity" by J. Hart Rosdail, published by The Norwegian Slooper Society of America, 1961. Published by Photopress, Inc., Broadview IL. You will also find information about the sloopers in many other publications.

You should also check Keith Wheeler's slooper site:

Borge, thankyou for your quick response. My parents have the slooper publication and are sending me some information. I thought that someone that uses this site could help me find some other good sources. I will look at Mr.Wheeler's site. Thanks agian!
