I am searching for a Knud Knudson, who supposedly emigrated in 1856, but the year 1856 does not seem to exist in the drop-down menu. Am I missing something? I may not have the correct year because this site does not show a ship Columbus departing for Quebec in 1856. Have searched this site for all Knud Knudson, including spelling variations
Thanks
Jon

Searching this website by ship name instead of year, there appears a Bark named Columbus which is noted as having sailed from Bergen to Quebec in 1856.

No passenger list. SOME emigrants from Bergen in that time period got "passport" or pass to travel - not all. A database on the Digitalarkivet exists for those who did -

This site shows the Columbus departing from Bergen in 1856, but there is no existing passenger list for this voyage to Quebec. There are no Quebec lists before 1865. When there are no transcribed passenger lists for a specific year in the pre 1875 emigrant database, you will not find it in the drop-down menu, but I will check the menu out for errors.
