My Great Grandfather, Ole Olson/Oleson/Olsen(born Dec. 13, 1863), came from Bergen in Norway (farm name not known.)I do not know the date of his service in the Norwegian Navy , but I have a picture of him in uniform to confirm his enlistment. According to his U.S. naturalization papers, he came to the U.S.A. on April 30, 1888 accompanied by his older brother, Iver. According to a census record in 1920, my Grandfather claimed he immigrated in 1892 and became naturalized in 1905. His parents are Inga/Enga and Ole Olsen. He also has a younger brother Edvard who immigrated in 1896. I would like to know if the Navy in Norway keeps records that date back as far as my GGrandfather? If so, how can this be accessed? These records may hold the rest of the information I am seeking. Jan
