Hello, my name is Markus Virta and i am trying to find my ancestors. So far i have my grandfather (Arvid Virta) father Agabetus Hjalmar and his father Nikodemus Wilhelm Nordström name(i don´t have data of his birthday). We have life in area called "Häme", Kärkölä is just next town of my home Hämeenkoski(Koski Hl was its name before).

I am just wondering are we heritage from Norway?
I like Norway:).

In Norway you have lots of strong people(strongmans, powerlifters) and thats something i admire very much.

Hello Markus!

Nikodemus Wilhelm Nordstöm was married to Maria Aurora Karlsdotter (daughter of Karl). Their children:

All born in Kärkölä, Finland on the farm Suivala Jousala.

Aurora Wilhelmina b. 2 APR 1870 (Mothers age 28).
Agabetus Hjalmar b. 10 OCT 1874 (32).
Oskar b. 15 NOV 1876 (34).
Walerian b. 1 APR 1879 (36).
Kaarle August b. 11 NOV 1881 (39).

I found one Maria Aurora Karlsdotter that match the birthyear of "your" Maria Aurora above, b. 15 AUG 1842 in Mäntsälä, Finland on the farm Niemelä. Parents were Carl Ericsson and Hedvig Eriksdotter.
I belive Nikodemus father was Elias since his name is Eliass. whitch means "son of Elias/Elias son".

MVH Sara, Gothenburg Sweden.

Nikodemus Eliass. Nordström.:

I am not sure about his birthday but I think he might born:

10.10.1846 Suivala Jonsala(this is Jousala and it’s the name of the house/farm.) Nikodemus
Father: T.s Nikod. Eliaeson
Mother: Maria Erksdr 27

http://www.genealogia.fi/hiski/-cuuui9

In old ages there were no surnames(Nikodemus Eliaes´s son) and I think that´s why my Nikodemus second name was Eliason, when he took name Nordström(this I don’t know, is this my ancestors name or where he took the name Nordström).
Hjalmar Agabetus changed name from Nordström to Virta.

In Sweden Ström = Stream, which would be translated as Virtaus in Finnish.

If this is my ancestor, is this normal thing in those days that father is younger 4 years than his wife?
Nikodemus was 24 when he had his first baby Aurora Wilhelmina in 1870 and his wife was 28 years old, if this is correct information?

I think you would be better checking on cyndis.list.com under the Finland section for assistance:

http://www.cyndislist.com/finland.htm

As an older woman, I do not think a wife being four years older than her husband is unusual in any age, do not know of any laws that a wife has to be younger than the husband. Many marriages in the old days were more an economic matter that a romantic situation.
