I am trying to locate when Johan Andersen (thoen ) and wife Amave Christensdatter (Pauline Amelia Christensdttr Nygaard) and 2 sons, Jakob Marcus Johnsen Thoen and Anders (Andrew) Johnsen Thoen Came to America and on what ship. We know it was about 1870 as the next child was born in Minnesota, USA - 20 Dec 1870

Any and all help will be appreciated

Have you searched for them on this site? On the list of departures you will note that all ships went to Canada, many of the passenger lists for 1870 have been transcribed. If you do not find them there, you need to find them in the police protocols on Digitalarkivet to ascertain their exact date of departure and then you can rent the Canadian microfilm passenger list from a local Family History Center.

Also trying to track the arrival of Ole Albert Thon, Adolf Julius Thon and Jalmar Rudolph Thon. May be listed as Halvorsen,
I do believe their birth place is: Thoen, Holand, Akershus, Norway. Some settled in the Minnesota/North Dakota and some in Ogden Utah in the United States

I did find Henrick, Ragna and Otto

You can buy hardcopy maps of all different parts of Norway through the website for Travel Genie - http://showcase.netins.net/web/travelgenie/

You can order and use parish church records for Høland, Akershus copied to microfilm at any LDS Family History Center - you even already have the film number in your posting above. No, Norwegian church records are NOT going to be in English - why would they be?

No, they are not in English but they are not narratives, a few basic words is all that is needed. This is a good dictionary to use for translating old records:
