i think i might have found grandfather leaving olso to america on 09.08.1911 using his fathers last name hansen, its says halfdan hans. occupation a sjoma what is that, ship the eskimo reason paa besok i dont know what that is either can anybody help me please. Why hans. and not hansen? thanks kim foster

Hans. is just an abbreviation for Hansen
